Burnt Almond Fudge Ice Cream


One of my husband favorite hobbies is to make homemade ice cream. I would dare say he makes it twice a month.  He has made this recipe before and it's one of his favorites.  



Burnt Almond Fudge Ice Cream
 
1 qt milk
4 eggs beaten
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa

Combine, cook over medium heat until mixture coats spoon.
Pour into freezer, add 1 quart whipping cream, 1 cup slivered almonds (toasted), and ½ teaspoon almond flavoring.  Freeze ice cream as you normally would in an ice cream freezer.
