Bacon & Beans

This recipe comes from my husband Grandma Lovell. We usually have this in August or September when green beans are in season but we didn't this year. So I saw them at the store and bought some because we just can't go a year without a taste of this delicious recipe.

Bacon & Beans

1 1/4 lbs. fresh green beans
6 slices of bacon
1 c. water
Salt & Pepper to taste

Cut up beans. Wash and put in heavy pan. Add the raw bacon that has been sliced while still partly frozen. Add salt and pepper and water. Cover and cook about 45 minutes. Don't overcook. Serves 4-6 people.
