Hula Sandwiches (Guest Post)

Hi, this is Suzette's sister-in-law Alison. While Suzette settles into her new home she asked me to post a recipe that our family enjoys. This is a quick and easy meal that everyone around here likes.

Hot Hula Sandwiches:Ingredients:
1 package King's Hawaiian rolls
1/2 pound sliced ham
6-8 slices Swiss cheese
1 cube butter
1 Tbsp poppy seeds
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Melt cube of butter and add the poppy seeds and Worcestershire. Set aside. Assemble mini sandwiches by cutting rolls in half and filling with meat and cheese. Place sandwiches UPSIDE-DOWN in 9 by 13 baking dish. Why upside down? That controls the sogginess factor.

Pour butter mixture over the rolls and cover with tin foil. Refrigerate 4 or more hours (Confession: In a pinch, they taste great even without the refrigeration). Heat oven to 350. Uncover and bake 15 to 20 minutes or until browned and cheese melted. Take out of the oven and turn upside-down sandwiches right-side up. Serve. Preferably with local sweet corn. Yum.
