Backwards Panini



This can be made two different ways. You can use french bread or bagels. My husband prefers bagels.

Backwards Panini

1 loaf french bread or 6 bagels
4 oz (1/2 pkg. cream cheese
1/2 lb. turkey
6 slices bacon, cooked
4-5 slice mozzarella cheese
2 T. butter
Toppings:
Lettuce
tomato
ranch dressing
mustard
mayonnasie

Cut french bread in half, lengthwise. Turn the bread inside out so you are putting all the fixing on the hard outer part of the bread. Spread cream cheese on both halves. Add turkey, bacon, and cheese, then put the two halves together. (the soft side of the bread should be facing out) Smash the bread as flat as you can, then spread with butter on both sides.  Cut sandwich into third, if using french bread. Then place on a heated BBQ grill.  Grill until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted. Remove the sandwich from grill. Lift the top slice of bread and add any toppings you'd like.
