Steak Diane

I am still alive. I went on vacation the end of March and I guess I haven't recovered enough to blog. It seems like life is to busy lately and then to try new meals on top of it, makes for one lazy lady. I have my sister Shelly to thank for getting me going again. She texted me the other night and told me to get going with it she was in a cooking rut and I said so I am but it helped to have so encouragement to maybe start blogging again.

Steak Diane

4 pieces of round steak
1/4 c. flour
2 Tbls. butter
salt and pepper
1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
1 small onion, sliced
1 Tbls. Worcestershire sauce

Pound meat with a meat mallet to make meat tender. Then put flour on a plate coat both sides with flour and put a skillet with the melted butter. Salt and pepper both sides.  Cook for 10 minutes. Turn and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Remove steak to a platter. Place mushrooms, onions, and Worcestershire sauce in skillet.  Saute mushrooms and onions care cooked through, about 5 minutes. Pour over steak.
