A month ago was my daughter's birthday. I asked what kind of cake she wanted me to make. She told me she wanted a rainbow cake with grass and flower and a sun. I just had to make it all up from scratch as I was frosting it. This is the finished product. She was so proud and excited about it.
My friend Jessica had made a cake in a cookie or jelly pan before. I thought that would be the best layout for the rainbow seen. Instructions for a jelly/cookie sheet cake are as follows..
One box cake mix. Mix like you normally would. Then grease a jelly roll/cookie sheet pan and pour batter into it. Then cook on 350 for 15 minutes or until you push in the middle with your finger and it spring back. Keep a close on eye on it so it does not burn. Then let cool and add frosting.
