Thick and Hearty Chicken Cheese Soup

Thick and Hearty Chicken Cheese Soup

1 lb chicken, boiled and cut up
2 c. carrots, shredded
1/2 c. onions, chopped
6 tbls. butter
1/2 c. flour
4 c. milk
2 cans of chicken broth
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. black pepper

In medium saucepan, cook carrots and onions in hot butter for about 10 minutes or until tender but not browned. Stir in flour. Slowly add milk, chicken broth, Woresterhire sauce, and black pepper. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in cooked chicken and cheese. Cook and stir over low heat until cheese melts. Serve Hot.
