Hot Punch

This is my mom recipe for Christmas Hot Punch. It is so good. I always look forward to Christmas time because I get to make this good drink.

Hot Punch

4 qts of water
6-8 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
3 c. sugar
1 large can of pineapple juice (1qt or 14 oz)
1 can of frozen orange juice
1 can of frozen lemonade
1 large can of apricot nectar (or 4 small soda size cans)

Boil water, cloves, cinnamon, & sugar together for 5 minutes. Then add all the juices (pineapple, orange, lemonade, apricot). Then heat mixture just to simmerpoint. And then turn off heat and it is ready to drink.

Side Note: With the soda size can of nectar this is all I have been able to fine. My mom use to get it in big cans but I have only found it in Hispanic food aisle at the store that come in soda size. And pineapple juice is in the drink aisle of stores in a big can by juices.

I usually half the recipe because it makes a lot. If you would like to do this here is the amounts below.

2 qts of water
3 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 1/2 c. sugar
half can of pineapple juice
half can of frozen orange juice
half can of lemonade
half can of nectar (or 2 soda can of nectar)

What I do with the leftover half cans of juice's is combine it all into a big bowl put it in fridge and then when the drink runs out and you want to make more use it to make another batch.
