Orange Rolls

Similar recipe to my mom cinnamon rolls just add some different flavoring to make them orange tasting instead of cinnamon.

Orange Rolls

2 c. Scalded Milk
1/4 c. warm water
2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbls. yeast
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter soften
2 eggs
5 c. flour

1 orange (zest it and then squeeze juice out of it)
1/2 c. sugar

In a small bowl combine warm water, yeast, sugar and let set.

In large bowl combine butter, sugar then mix. Then add salt then mix it. Then add milk then mix. Then add little flour about 2 cups. and mix. Then add eggs and mix. Then add yeast mixture from above and mix. Then add 3 more cups of flour. The more stick the dough is the better. So don't add to much flour that it makes the dough tough. Then knead the dough for few minutes. After you knead it put in a clean bowl and let rise until double in size. Punch it down and let rise again. After this roll half of the dough out and spread with 1 cube of butter that is soften and sprinkle sugar over it and then sprinkle the zest from orange over it. . Roll up and up cut into 1 ich thick rolls. Put on pan and let rise until double in size. Repeat this last process with the other half of dough. Cook 425 degree for 5 -10 minutes until they get brown on top. Keep a close on it you don't want to over cook it.

Frosting
8 oz cream cheese
1 lb powdered sugar
1/2 c. juice from orange
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients for the frosting and mix together good. Then spread on rolls while still hot.
